Cookies for Santa

This year we made sugar cookies for Santa's treat. (This is a big stretch for me I don't bake). They actually worked and tasted yummy.

The only problem we had was I forgot to buy green frosting and I was out of food coloring. Thank heaven for green sprinkles from like 10 years ago found hidden in the cupboard. lol

Snowball OOPS!!!!

So it started off as a regular Sunday. Handsome boys huh!

Then it got fun with Ryan throwing snowballs at them in the front window. Then disaster striked. The snowball went through both panes of glass and hit Dagen right in the neck. He got a few nicks and 10000000 little pieces of glass everywhere. Oak and Colton didn't even get any glass. Lucky boys! It shattered into a million pieces all over from the kitchen, living room, stairs, landing, even down to the basement. So damage was on really big window broken out in the middle of a snow storm, but no seriously injured kids.

This is the consequence of throwing before you think. lol

Gingerbread Houses

This year the boys wanted to try gingerbread houses. They made some serious master pieces.

Colton did a flat roof.

Oaklen was all about the frosting.

Dagen had a gummy bear guard all the way around.

Ry spent most of his time making sure it was structurally sound. lol

Santa's Letters

For Family Home Evening we wrote our Santa letters. Then we bundled up and dropped them off at Santa's mailbox. Hope they have been good little boys because, their lists were very long.

Spiderman

Oaklen found a hand me down Spiderman costume. He insists on putting it on first thing in the morning and taking it off last thing at night. He even wears it out for our pepsi runs. So thanks for the treasure!!!! Simple joys for Oaklen!

Hanging at Grams and Gramps

After swimming at Green Canyon (with Mandie and Lynn sharing their diving board skills or lack thereof). We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to hang. The girls just chatted and the boys had a ping pong championship. It's always fun there. Thanks!!

Bowling Event

This is our bowling event. Everyone had a good time trying to show their skill. However, I noticed a lot of them lack the bowling skill. lol

Black Friday

Black Friday what can we say. It was a lot a fun and a disaster all in one. It all started about 1 am when the septic tank backed up. So everyone was relocated to Idaho Falls. Then the girls set out to do the Black Friday sales. No one even had an idea of what they were buying. It was so funny! Then we get to Shopko and decide we will just watch the line till it goes in, so we park half way in the road....bad idea my jeep stops working. We decide we will just shop and deal with it later. Well when we get back out it is working so we just proceed on. Another bad idea it keeps dying all morning long. We finally go to breakfast and get ready to leave and it stalls again in the Perkins entrance. So I have this great idea Debra can just tow me....that is if I knew how to do that. I hook it up and we start to go and opps again I hooked it up wrong and it rips the whole front end off. We where laughing so hard we couldn't even get out to help. Amber just picks up the bummer and throws it in the jeep. It was on bad event after another....but so dang funny still. However, it might have put some of us over the edge.

Thanksgiving Day!

So this year Pam decided to do her hair like Mandie's (which is normally high). Took us forever and we only made it about a 1/4 of the way there. No wonder Mandie hates it when we touch her hair....it is a lot of work!
Thanksgiving Dinner a favorite time of the year! We had lots of fun and laughs! Everyone there this year Grandpa Sorensen, Grandma Sorensen, Paul, Deb, Ash, Brax, Debbie, Lynn, Amber, Derek, Andy, Suzy, Ry, Colt, Dag, Oak, Pam, Paul2, Court, Dono, Dec, Zayd, Jay, Mandie, Austen, Tanner, and Jake! We are so big now we had to have it in the garage.






We played Minute to Win it this year. It was full of funny challenges and then they all won a punching balloon. That is crazy with all those kids. Who would think of that? We also played BINGO a tradition and this year Dagen won the $50. Huge smiles!!

Last Cabin Trip for the Season

We went up to the cabin on last time to winterize the place. Much to our surprise we woke up to a lot of snow. We decided we had better get out of there before we where snowed in....Opps!! A little too late.
Suzy, Dagen, and Oaklen thinking the snow was cool. That was before we got stuck and stranded for another day.
Once we figured out that we would be stranded for the night we had to get more firewood ready. Here is Dagen being the man.
Oaklen even had to pitch in.
