We've Got Company

Oh honey...we've got company!!! The Southwick came to town for the weekend. It was a crazy, fun filled, messy, and wild weekend. I tried to get one cute pitcure for Grams and Gramps after ten shots this is the best I got. Always a side show Bob and usually 2 or 3.

So we tried an Adult (rated pg) day. An oddity for Sorensen's we went to the Bodies exhibit, breakfast, then the girls went shopping and boys well one never know what they do....wait I remember now they played their electronics and over paid and I mean way over paid the sitter. Not that I'm not sure they didn't earn their money being that it was Colt, Ace, Oak, Dono, Dec, Zayd, and Jake. Fun day out!!

Dono has been reminding me that we needed to have a romantic Valentine dinner since Feb. 14th. So this was our event. Dono set up the table, and even got to light the candles. If you will notice it was still light out but hey we we're too hungry to wait. lol





So I got the huge package of red cups from Sams Club. It was hours of fun for the boys...who knew. One night...or should I say morning, I went downstairs and they had a giant pyramid made in the hallway and it came crashing down. lol You could imagine Pam's delight. Then they asked if they could just watch one movie. BOYS!!

What do we have here Paul and Colton getting along. What does this mean they have both grown up a little. lol

Spring Break 2011

So this year we decided to do a mini trip to Salt Lake for springbreak. It was definately springier (I know that is not really a word)there then here. We stopped by the airplane museum had the whole kids station all to ourselves, swam a lot morning and night, at the aquarium we touched the sting rays and all kinds of creatures, and the saw the imax 3D under the sea. We had a great break! However, instead of curing our cabin fever it made it much much worse. That SUNSHINE better be on its way.

Since our first outing to the river got cut short by some unfortunate goose poop event...we tried again. It was a nice day and we needed a little fresh air. As you can see the 2 younger boys loved it. They chased the ducks and ace even broke thru the ice.

However, 1 little boy did not enjoy himself at all. Colton stepped in some goose poop. Imagine that goose poop? He stomped away and sat by himself for a while. Then he returned to inform me that I would be buying him some new shoes. So I told him to just wipe them on the grass. He then told me that hello this grass is about the most unsanitized place in the city. lol

In true fashion we had to tease him then. Family is so very painful to a teenager....wait he is only 10. HELP US!!!

Happy Birthday to US!!!!

Happy Birthday to Oaklen! He got all loaded up with fun things for his Birthday! Ace said it was way better then Colton's Birthday because there were actually toys. lol

He got a new bike so now we just have to get the snow to melt.

We have to share our birthday so for lunch one day he chose Artic Circle and the next day I chose Olive Garden. We both like to swim so that worked. But Ryan always makes sure we are both special so he got Oak a Buzz lightyear cake and me a Cinderella. lol

After a very busy day one little 3 year old was thrashed............so was his mom!!!

Goose Poop Boogers

The other day we decided to run down to the river to feed the geese. Dagen and Colton where so excited that they where smiling ear to ear. Oaklen insisted on wearing his superman cape. He was mostly excited to chase the birds.

Well then Dagen was getting braver and braver. So he was running down the path. Now you all know that Idaho is one dirty wet place right now. So I said Ace you better stay on the path or you will slip. Well just as I said that Oaklen jumped off the path and slid. He was covered from head to toe in mudd and goose poop. Thank heavens he had his cape so I had something to wipe him with. So needless to say the kid blew goose poop boogers for a week.

Naughty List

So here is the deal. I asked Ryan to put the Santa blow up away several times. I reasked this week to please put it away before the bishopric stopped by...that was Tuesday. It is still out. So tonight when he comes home around 1 am. He will find a Santa blown up with a note. I figure this could go either way...a.He will get the hint and put it away or b. I could be looking at Christmas decorations still in July. Any bets?

Last Ski Night

Colton is really not cross eyed just on special occasions like photo shots. lol He is 10 explains a lot. This is the boys last ski night. They all had a ball! I'm thinking I better learn to ski or with this group I may always be left behind in the winter. Yikes!!The boys were racing each other down the hill. Brotherly FUN!!

Buzz

Colton has a phobia of public speaking. He had to do an oral report on Buzz Aldrin. The kid put in hours on this project. He had to come up with 3 facts, draw a portrait, and report orally. He did so great we are very proud of him. He took tang for the kids and said, "this is tang it is what the astronauts drank in space. It is like orange juice but not organic." The is one very Colton comment.

Toothless

Toothless, and we don't mean the Dragon. Dagen is loosing his teeth left and right. Okay so the real story is his teeth never want to come out and he hates to wiggle them. So he leaves them in until they are all snaggle tooth. Then I have to warn him for a day that tomorrow we are going to pull it out. Then we have to put stuff on to numb it, then we have to wiggle it once. It is such a process and so very Dagen.

31 Flavors

We have been reading the boys Super Fudge for their bedtime story lately. In it they talk about going to Baskin Robins with 31 flavors. Our boys didn't know what it was, so for President's Day we took a trip there. Funny thing is they all picked their regular flavors. lol

Sassy

So if you can't understand him. He is saying "Don't tell me my business." Sassy must learn it from his older brothers. lol
Sorry it is sideways I am technology challenged....so Colton points out regularly.

Spiderman

We received a Spiderman costume in a box of hand me down clothes. Oaklen has worn in non-stop since then. We had a week that no matter where we were going or what we were doing we had to be Spiderman. We thought he was the cutest little superhero ever.

Cabin Fever

The other day we had cabin fever bad. Ryan was gone and the big boys where at school. So me and Oaklen went out for an adventure. We went down to feed the geese on the river. It was too dang cold for us to get out of the car, so we just did it out the window. We spent over and hour feeding the birds, and Oaklen was giving all kinds of orders to the poor things. It was a lot of fun to just be out of the house and you can see how happy it made him. Simple Joy!

Woody

So we have entered a new phase for Oaklen. He is in love with Toy Story. He generally walks around saying, "I'm Buzz Lightyear I come in peace." However, for this one small moment he decided it was okay to be Woody. He is such a cutie.

Okay so this is the damage of having a blonde moment....yes I am truly a brunette. However, we all slip now and then. This is when I decided I could totally tow my own jeep. What was I thinking? Obviously not. It was a lot funnier then.......3 months later the jeep still does not have working lights. Good times!
