Only Oak

Grandma had a great idea to get 20 water shooters for the kids on vacation. Well they all were very good about not getting Grandma.....well that is until Oaklen came around. He walked over pointed at Grandma and just shot her. Not once but over and over. She only laughed what else could she do.....She help create the monster. lol

3 am Take Down

It all started at 3 am when out of the blue Derek walks up to his Mom and yanks her off the couch feet first. TAKE DOWN!!

As you can tell she was the loser in round One, TWO, THREE, ETC....

Then it was Amber's turn......Take Down after Take Down.

She also was a loser. lol

Tickles

This was the most coveted seat in the house for summer vacation. Each Grandkid took they fair share of time sitting next to Grandma so she would tickle them. I can't imagine here fingernails must have been worn down to nubs.


Notice how each kid just wiggles to a spot they like the best.

New Best Buddy

Oaklen discovered a new best buddy.....Derek?!?!?!? He was constantly in search of Derek even long after Derek had gone home. Too Cute!


Oh but let me tell you for 2 solid weeks this kid was toted around by all the teenagers and given everything he wanted. Total torture for his Mother afterward. We are still trying to cure him. lol

Freeman Park

One night we decided to try frizbee golf. Well me being a cheapo bought the wrong frizbees but heck Jay saved the day. They had lots of Fun! Grandma, Debbie, Me, Oak, and Jake started out at the playground. However, by time it was all over we had walked across the whole park in search of swings Jake just knew where there. lol It was so much fun.

Fireworks

The Fourth of July we come down to that firework show at the airport. Scott, Lia, & the girls, Mom, Dad, Debbie, Lynn, Andy and us. The big kids ditched us to spend time on the river with Jay's family. It was pretty dang relaxed we ate pizza and nipa hut. Then the we did a few little fireworks with the kids.

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

You will remember from the previous post that Pam's personal spaced is huge. Well these are Debbie's children, Derek and Amber making sure to invade it one last time before she has to leave.


Now kids don't cry at that awful face she is making at you that is her way of saying I love you!

Bull Riders Only

We took the whole Sorensen group and decided to try a Bull Riders Only and Dimond Rio Concert (only the older generation like Lynn and up knew who they were). It was for Grandpa's Birthday Celebration. We had a great time. However, it is lacking in pictures because Mr. Oak well he is uncontainable, so we where constantly chasing him. During the concert Paul 2 gave all the boys glow sticks and they went down into the arena and ran around. They had a ball. Lucky for me they rode back with Grandma and let's just say their car smelled like old bull pee. lol Bad enough Grandma but the smack down on and they all had to have mandatory showers. NOW THAT IS BAD!!

Oil and Water just don't mix!

So these to sisters are like oil and water they just don't mix. lol (Ok so truth be told they have some very similar qualities). Well the following photos are of Debbie trying to annoying Pam by being in her personal space.....that happens to be about the size of Texas. I think it worked. lol

Waiting

So this is the day of everyone's arrival for Summer Vacation 2011. Let's just say we didn't tear up the world. I discovered the Cabela's recliner chair and don't think I moved the whole afternoon. The little boys played in the water, Ry and Courtney played a little hoop, Gpa and Me napped in the shade, and Gma and Pam baked 100 oreo messy yummy cupcakes (we thought it would be a good bonding project for the 2 of them lol). Everyone arrived the then the crazyness started.

My Inventor

Okay this is a sympathy post for Pam. It is all the time I had. lol This is Colton's latest invention. At first it was just to pull Oaklen around. That was just not enough. Colton rigged it up to put on his bike to give rides to all the neighbor kids. His mind never stops.

Dang Maverick

Okay so the other day we watched Maverik (yes the old show) with the boys. Yes I know it is not a kid show but oh well. However, Dagen has totally gotten into it. This is a stage coach he made for him and Oaklen to play in for hours. Also, they had Grandpa teach them poker for hours. I hope they don't have the Grandma gambling gene. lol

Cabin Fun

We finally made it up to the cabin this year. It was just as it should be lots of work and lots of play! We mowed, dragged branches, moved wood, 4 wheelered, swang, ate ice cream. We even saw a baby moose with a mama in the front yard. Great Memories!!!

Father's Day

This Father's Day we got to do something fun! We took a ride over to Boise and flew a plane back. The boys loved it! It was a fast trip but worth it. They giggled at every little turbulence. It was nice to spend time as our little family.
