Rained out of the Zoo

We came up with a fabulous plan....go to Hogle zoo with the Southwicks. Only trouble was that mother nature didn't agree. The boys were so excited to get to go do something with their cousins. It started out nice but by time we got to the elephants it was a down pouring and very cold rain. Since it showed no signs of stopping we decided to try a plan B. Which was Carl's Jr. and $5 limit at target? lol It was fun to see the boys together again. They have so much fun together

Wolf Award

Dagen did it just in time. He has done so much in Scouts. He only had to make a meal for his family and it took him to his birthday week to decide to do it for his wolf award. Surprise anyone that it had to be in his time. lol However, we are so proud of him. He received his wolf, 1 gold arrow point and 6 silver arrow points. Way to go Dagen! We are proud of you.

Dagen's 9

Dagen celebrated his 9th Birthday in true Dagen style. He had a friend bowling birthday party. Then he took doughnuts to school. Then he went to the Avenger movie and Texas Roadhouse with Grandma and Grandpa. Finished with a ice cream cake. He was so happy he finally got his BB gun. Happy Birthday Dagen!!! Baby Animal Day

Okay so in our house 99.9% of what we do revolves around the big boys. So we decided it was about time we did something for little Oak.....baby animal day. I thought the bigger boys would survive it.....but after it was all said and done I think it was a just barely survival. lol They mostly sat at the honey station and ate the samples. However, it was right at Oaklen's stage. He loved to discover and explore every single thing. He really loved the corn seed box. So it was worth every rolled eye, deep sigh, and mumble the big boys gave. lol

Mini Escape

We just had to escape the regular life. So one day we loaded up and went up to the cabin. We didn't stay because someone was already there. But we had a fun day anyway. We went to fishing bridge and the fish where very very hungry. We had a great time throwing bread to the fish and rocks just for fun. If you notice Dagen was told not to get wet.....the kid pushes every line to the limit. lol We even found a little snow on our mini adventure. Now if we could just have a few days at the cabin.

Bed Hog

The big boys had a sleep out. This is how I found them in the morning. No wonder Colton tell him NO when he wants to share his bed. lol

Hippity Hoppity Easter

This year we dyed Easter eggs. I made the boys dye them without their school shirts on (that is why you don't see Colton and Dagen...my modest boys). Then we did Easter baskets before church. As you can see by their faces we have early morning church. lol Then after church we did our Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny had all sorts of new places to hide the eggs since the house was still a bit of a wreck. It was a fun and relaxing day.

Duct Tape?

So often times Colton tends to get put on the back burner, due to the fact that he is mellow and he has high maintence brothers. So he has been asking and asking to make a duct tape wallet. So before he got home from school I got some duct tape and did some googling. Look what the kid made a duct tape wallet. It was fun to spend a little one on one time with him. He is growing up all to fast so I have to savor the time when he really wants a Mom. Lol!

Oh Brother

So Oaklen pinched Dagen the other day. So he got busted. However, who did he run to none other the Dagen. Oh Brothers they are mind boggling.

Ijump

So for one last Hurrah for the break we took the kids to a new trampoline gym. It was wall to wall trampolines. They had a great time and I was suprised at how well the big boys did on the boards. Definately worth it!!!

Spring Break

Spring break 2012 was like no other we have ever had. We usually take a big trip for the week. However, due to the fact that Ryan worked and my house was a disaster zone my kind parents offered us to live at their house for the week. Thanks so much!!! We had a relaxed and kicked back week. Playing outside, bb guns, hot tubbing nightly, trampoline, etc.. All the fun things about Grandpa and Grandma's house minus the Grandpa and Grandma. Dagen said, "It was the best spring break he has ever had".

So it is ok a good thing they had plastic to cover all the ruined walls and I couldn't see what was going on. This week we have plastic down, walls, paint, and today a washer and dryer. Kitchen is still on the mess list but progress.
