What about the little guy?

So our hotel in Lava was right next to a park. I kept offering it to the kids and the big boys would roll their eyes and say no! So the morning we where leaving me and Oaklen snuck away while they loaded up the car. Oaklen loved the horse swings and the dinosaur toy. They big boys (including their father) waited oh so patiently (wink wink) in the car. Sometimes I have to remind the .....What about the little guy?

Lava Hot Springs

Last summer trip was to the exciting Lava Hot Springs? I know you would think something big like Florida, Disneyland, etc... Nope we chose somewhere close. I have to say it was so much fun we would do it again. We packed up Friday night and took off for some R&R. The kids loved the big pool. We spent 6 hours there the first day. Then went to dinner and watched TV. Then day two they picked to do it all over again. We made it another 6 hours swim day and everyone came home with a sunburn. It was super fun to just step back from life and enjoy the kids. I hate to see the end of summer come....but last I checked no one asked me.

Golf!

This year Colton picked to golf again. Only this time he loved it even more. Due to Ryan's wacky schedule and the fact that Colt is not an only child, Grandpa agreed to be his golfing partner. Oh and they took the job seriously. There was many hours spent golfing, practicing, learning, and lunching at Carl's JR. Thanks so much for letting Colton have the chance. We are very proud of all the fun and learning he got to do this year! Good Job Colt!!!!

Splash Park

I know you would think my boys would out grow the Splash Park....however, they have a little brother that loves it. Secretly so do they. We spent an entire day and i mean entire. Me and Grandpa thought we might die. However, Grandmas was loving hand feeding them cotton candy and letting them just be kids. Thanks for the fun!!

Finally made it!

So my little family finally made it to the cabin for a mini getaway. For some reason the stars have not lined up this year so every vacation has turned to crap or canceled. This time it was shortened but we made it. We played hard and soaked up the peaceful quiet of the cabin.

Enough is Enough

So Sunday night Grandpa and Grandma needed a little space so they sent the group on a Crest Creek Hike. They sat back and relaxed and they returned to Grandma's so yummy carmel corn and a dance from the I think I'm awesome boys. lol

A Zoo?

So on all our adventures the boys caught 3 lizards and a nasty salamander. The decided it was going to be their new pets. So they got a tub and filled it with sand and played with the lizards for hours. The salamander got to live in Grandpa's cooler filled with night crawlers. A surprise the teenagers arranged in the middle of the night. lol Grandpa was not all to thrilled with the find. Well at one point a lizard appeared to be dead. So Dagen and Dono decided to do CPR and no luck he just wasn't moving. So the decided a funeral was in order. Well a few minutes later they went back to check out the grave and surprise that lizard was gone. Smartest on of the bunch. So then everyone packs up to go home and I inherit the lizards. What the nut!

A Teen Vacation

Ok so much of our summer vacation consisted of Grandma worried about what will make the teenagers most happy. Let's just say the teens ran with it. They pick 100 percent of what we did, had a car exclusively for teens (unless they invited Grandma to tickle), scary movies, etc...... I think their Mom's could have killed them, but since I'm just the Auntie I enjoyed every minute with them. Minus the random take downs.

Moments They Treasure

Here is a small moment that the boys will forever cherish. Grandpa took the time to teach them a game. They love this attention only a Grandpa can give.

Change in Plans

So we had a big idea....we would take everyone floating down Warm River. However, mother nature didn't agree. The storms moved in and we had to go with option B. Bowling. I have to say we all could use some serious work in our bowling skills. It was fun to be all together.

What do you do with all these boys.......?

Fishing of course. We spent the night at the Shelly kid pond. Oaklen was taught by the long timer Grandpa, Colton was taught by the expert Jay, and Dagen well he got Debbie. lol I discovered I might have the most impatient fishers in the group. lol

Ijump

Ijump was a hit with the kids. They loved doing tricks, jumping in the pit, and dodge ball. Much to our surprise we left without any injuries. Just cars full of starving kids....which meant a stop at pizza pie cafe. Yum!
