Bowling Sorensen Style

Some of us decided to hook up for a night of bowling and tacos. It was super fun to watch the little boys think they were big. It was a fun night!

Even though we had no Grandparents for Thanksgiving, we decided the show must go on. So as tradition goes we played bingo. It is always so much fun! Zayder won the big loot this year. Congrats! The constellation prize was giant slappy hands. Let's just say ouchie mama!!!! Super fun to inflicted pain on those you love. ha ha. Thanks for the good time everyone.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving was different this year. It was my first Thanksgiving without my parents. They headed to the sunshine early this year. However, we decided we could do a Thanksgiving at their place. Everyone pitched in and we did it. I have to say it wasn't quite the same, but everyone ate to much, played hard, and missed Grandma and Grandpa terribly. lol

Happy Halloween

Costumes, candy, pumkins, parties.....just what Halloween should be. The boys all picked spooky things this year. Colton was the grim reaper, Dagen a monster gangster, and Oaklen was a skeleton. Ryan was out of town this time and so I recruited Grandma and Grandpa to help the boys while I did the Trunk or Treat with the Young Women. I think it officially made them ready for their winter home. lol

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpking Carving is always a fun filled night. The boys had fun coming up with their own designs and then trying to make a face to match. Happy Halloween!!

Ryan had a low key birthday......hear that is what old age does for you. Happy Birthday Ryan!

Sweet Parents

We decided to go to the cabin for conference weekend. We took off Thursday filled to the rim with food, clothes, blankets, kids and mangy dog all in the jeep. Then Friday my sweet parents brought up a splitter and helped us chop wood for the winter. Then they dutch ovened chicken, potatoes, and a to die for cake. They are too good to us. Thanks! Then we laid around, listened to conference, watched movies, 4 wheelered, played like hunters lol, and so much quiet and rest loved it. Oh minus the lots of work we had to do but that might get my blood boiling. lol

The Swing

Inbetween Conference Sessions we went to see if the famous Swing was open. So far everytime we have been there it has been used by campers. Not this time. It is no Browning Creek. The boys had told us when they went with the teenager cousins it was way funner cause they could get them swinging perpendicular to the mountain.

Grandpa Look Alike

Sometimes Colton reminds us so much of Grandpa Sorensen. This was one of those moments.

Oh what do you do for FUN?

One night this week the boys set up an airplane complete with sound effects in the living room. Then they requested that we all board and that their Dad be the pilot. They all got such a kick out of this and well I thought it was so odd. However, I could tell this was something that they had played with their Dad before. Fun for an aviation family I guess. lol

Mud Pies

The other day we put in a new kitchen floor. Which meant that the children ran a little wild and free. This is how I found Dagen and Jaden. ARGH!!! I am sure this is something I have repeatedly told them to not do. However, they were having so much fun and Grandma was here so there was no beating.....but I did enjoy spraying them off with a cold hose.

Preschool

Oaklen is loving preschool. It is almost torture for him to have it only 2 days a week. This is his excitment after he got his medal at the backyard olympics. However, he has scammed his teacher into thinking he can't put on his own shoes. I picked him up yesterday and she said now Oaklen what is your homework.....practice putting on your shoes all by yourself. I had to laugh he has been doing that for about a year now. So I asked why he didn't do it at school and his response was Mrs. Taft will do it for me. lol Takes after his scamming brother Colton.
