A DAY AT THE FARM

This weekend we went to Baby Animal Day with the Southwicks. It is always an event.
Oaklen, Courtney, Declyn, Colton, Donovyn, Dagen, Pam, and Zaydryn at the end of our adventure.

Colton's one request was to ride the pony. He was able to get up all by himself.
Oaklen was so tired by this point I am not sure he even knew he was on a horse.
Dagen was a little nervous to try this.....BUT HE DID IT!! It was a GREAT DAY!!

Weekend at Auntie Pam's

Me and the boys spent a weekend at Auntie Pam's house. The boys play so hard there.
This is Oaklen's first time in a big boy swing. He loved it. Zayder was not so thrilled to have to share. Donovyn I am sure is not sticking his tongue out at his mother.
This is Courtney's Captin Morgan pose. Donovyn and Colton played in the hammock for hours even past dark. Declyn and Dagen dug in this dirt pile until their faces turned black. We played very hard and had a BLAST doing it. Thanks Southwick Family!

Everybody's FAKE BIRTHDAY!!!

Much to our suprise we showed up just in time for OUR FAKE BIRTHDAY Party! The house was decorated with balloons, streamers, and a poster of each of us! It even smelled like birthday cake. Zayd and Dagen enjoyed every bite of the cake and ice cream.
Declyn was so excited he couldn't sit still.
Auntie Pam, Oaklen, and Donovyn loved the yummy surprise! Auntie Pam even bought us all a present. "She Rocks!" according to Colton.
Everyone got the Birthday Song sang to them and then we each got a turn to blow out the candles.

Easter 2010

The boys were very excited for Easter. However, they were a little nervous the Easter Bunny wouldn't know where we had gone. So they left him a trail of chocolate outside the hotel door in hopes he would track us down.

Easter morning came and before they could check if the Easter Bunny found us they had to wake up Colton. No small feat .....remember he is related to his Dad.

Lucky for us he did find us and we were able to find all the Easter eggs.

And he left us a basket full of goodies!

My Little Sharks!

On springbreak my boys turned into.......Sharks! We swam every morning and every night. It was without fail the highlight of our Boise Springbreak.

Old Jail Tour

Does this look like spring to you?!?!?! Snow, Rain, and Freezing our butts off!! This was our trip to the old jail. If you know my boys, you will know that the coolest thing on earth is police, FBI, and spies. This was a huge hit with everyone.

Cool things we saw: solitary confinment, weapons made by the inmates, gallows, death row, jail cells, weapon display, etc...

One thing for sure I don't think we could be inmates, because those cells are just too small and we like our space.

Boise Discovery Center

The weather was bad on our springbreak so we went to the Discovery Center. The boys loved it. They could have stayed forever.
This is a bed of nails. Ryan had to go first!

Once Ryan told Colton it was painless, Colton had to give it a try.

Oaklen thought the swing was a ball. However, he ran around so much it made me glad to see it was closing time.

Dagen loved pretending he was an animal doctor. Loves animals just as long as they are stuffed or caged.

Coloring Easter Eggs

So this year we knew we wouldn't be home for Easter. So we decided to dye eggs just for fun.

Dagen liked to go record speed.....1st grade style.

Colton took a little more time, but really just wanted someone else to do the work.

Oaklen actually did it by himself and didn't spill even one cup of dye.

However, the most fun was when I told them to throw all four dozen into the garbage because they would stink before we got back. They loved breaking them into pieces. Destruction = Boys!

Pancake Pout

The other day the boys were out for Springbreak. Dagen wanted pancakes with powdered sugar for dinner. Being the good Mom I agreed! Much to my dismay I turned around to find that Oaklen had first covered his head in powdered sugar then threw the plate like a frizbee.

So of course I said, "Oaklen Royal Don't Do That!" and in return this is the pout I got. Sometimes I wonder why I try....all I got out of this is a sulking two year old and a sticky kitchen floor.

Oaklen is 100% TWO!

Well in true fashion this boy is two! I am sure you can see him working hard to rearrange his bike just so.... to run over his brother.

This photo is right after he shut the computer and stole Colton's Space Derby! But with a quick smile all is forgotten! RIGHT?!?!?!?

Dagen is doing what?

Well for starters on a Saturday morning Dagen showed me his break dancing moves.

Then he had to show me all of his skills.

Followed by pitching the ball inside....yes, at my walls.

Then it turned into beaning his dad with the ball. Run Ryan Run!!

Trust me that boy as some heat.....could be painful!
So Grandma you ask what Dagen is up to......a lot........full of energy like always!

Colton's Scout Space Derby

Colton's first Derby in Scouts happened to be a Space Derby. Colton loves the space shuttle so that is what he painted his like. He spent many hours getting it just right. It looked AWESOME!!

He was excited to race! I am sure he had figured out all the scientific deals to do well!

We are so proud of him he took 3rd Place! Great Job Kido!!! We love you!

Being the Baby

This week has been a busy one. Parent teacher for the big boys! Colton is still the top reader in his grade and a top speller. Dagen is getting straight A's and has gone into the higher reading group. He also made his first basket in a game!! We are very proud of both the boys!

Then there is Oaklen....Saturday we found him on top of the table with a 1/2 dozen rolls. He would take a roll and dip it into honey butter then eat one bite and move on to the next. Sad thing was we just let him because it was so dang cute! No wonder babies of the family turn out the way they do.

Double the FUN!!

THIS IS OUR DAY!! ONE BIG CELEBRATION!!!! OUR SHARED BIRTHDAY!!! WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

The boys made sure that both Birthday's were celebrated! They got me a Princess cake and Oaklen a Monster Truck cake. We did presents, cakes, and Texas Roadhouse dinner together. Thanks for a great day everyone!

This is my Day! 20 something?!?!?

Oh yeah.....this day belongs to me now!!!! 2 Years

This is INSANE!!

So I had this great idea.....I thought I would potty train Oaklen starting now! So I ran out and bought big boy undies and potty treats. Well the insane part is it has been 2 weeks and he has only went in the toilet once. Yes, that means it has been lots of loads of laundry and many carpet cleanings. When do I finally say, "He is just not ready?" So far the only thing it has done is convince him that running around without clothes surely beats being dressed.
